'I don't know how we approve this': pharmacy board narrowly accepts drug diversion settlement

Indiana's pharmacy regulators on Monday reluctantly approved a disciplinary settlement with IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital over what they describe as one of the largest known drug theft cases in state history.
Multiple board members questioned whether the punishment fit the magnitude of the misconduct, however.

Gov. Mike Braun informed state employees Monday they will receive a one-time bonus in their July 29 paycheck.
But they won’t receive an ongoing pay raise even though state tax revenue collections have been strong.

Trump hosts top IndyCar racers to promote D.C. streetrace

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump enlisted star IndyCar racers, a simulated pit stop and a pair of high-powered sports cars Monday as he sought to rev up excitement for a race around the nation’s capital next month.
Racers Álex Palou, Felix Rosenqvist and David Malukas and motorsports officials stood beside the president as he promoted the Freedom 250 Grand Prix, a two-day event next month. They were joined by Roger Penske, founder and chairman of Michigan-based Penske Corp., U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and others tied to sports and auto companies. Two Corvettes were parked to the sides of the speakers.
